Our Families

When it becomes necessary for children to be placed outside of their home, New Leaf Alternative offers Treatment Foster / Proctor Care services. All our families are required to complete training in areas that will help the child placed succeed in returning back home with a life time skills.

Placement - The children served by NLA are older children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems. Most have had at least one previous placement outside their home. Yet our success rate is 70 to 80 percent.

Parents - NLA parents make a commitment to unconditional care - to not give up on kids. They must also pass our screening process.

Training and Support - We provide Treatment Foster/Proctor parents with a full complement of training programs, including 40 hours of pre-service training.
