Mission Statement

One of the fastest growing concerns in this country is the plight of juvenile delinquency. Although this has always been an element of society, we are seeing the violent and criminal youth of this country recoyne the meaning of "delinquency". This has crippled every aspect of our society today. From Washington DC to rural Utah, citizens have voiced their fear and concern about this growing phenomena. Gangs, teenage mothers, drug and alcohol in schools, drive-by's, carjacking and graffiti are only a few of the symptoms that plague this nations youth and there further. THis is not a problem found only in the inner cities but in the suburb America as well.

We can justify ourselves that the cause of this inflation of crime is the eroding of the basic family unit or the growing gap between the "haves" and "have not's" or even the lack of opportunity. What ever the causes may be, the fact is that our children who fall into this criminal life need intervention. New Leaf Alternative is too intervene in the lives of these youth by placing them in a structured environment that is closely supervised. This is cloaked with stability, discipline and genuine care provided by homes that truly have concern for these youth. New Leaf Alternative also offers individual and group therapy for these youth in hopes of impacting and empowering these youth. New Leaf Alternative hopes to offer to these youth a positive outlook on themselves by helping them to process for themselves the behaviors and thought processes that cause them to act out against society. Individual and family therapy are an integral part of the clients success in the program. New Leaf Alternative will provide rehabilitative services to youth, as well as, opportunities to fulfill their commitment to the courts, victims and society, holding them accountable to the consequences that will face them.
